I don’t know what about this recipe called to me, but I’m so glad it did. Use up some of your end of summer tomato bounty with this — the sweet smokiness is kind of amazing. Serve with your protein of choice, slather in sandwiches, or with a sharp or stinky cheese. YUM.
Tomato Jam
Just the Tip / Inspired by Tastebud Tart Catering via Fresh Tart

Here’s what I used:
- 1 lb tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 cup turbinado sugar
- 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- salt
Here’s what I did:
- Combine all of the ingredients in a large pot and bring to a boil.
- Turn the heat down to low and simmer uncovered for about 45 minutes until it’s thick and sticky.
- Cool the jam to room temperature, cover, and chill. Enjoy!
